I have a 1986.5 Supra, non-turbo. the engine is getting near the end of its life as-is and i was thinking about istead of getting a new car, eather rebuilding the engine, or replacing the 3.0L inline 6, with a 5.0L 302/306 V8 smallblock engine

has anyone ever performed an smallblock engine swap with their supra? if so could you tell me a lil about the process, and what i would need to do to the frame so that the engine fits, and what kind of new transmition/other parts would i have to get? thanks

Get a 7mgte or even a 2jz, please don't bastardize a Supra to save a few bucks, You can probably get a used Jdm 7mgte for less than the 302 plus you won't need to go into custom frabricating all the motor mounts also, You'd piss off a lot of people by doing that.

this is a great site for more info on the swap. dont go with the 302/305/350 unless you are super broke. this engine will rock. 1UZFE V8 from a lexus
