I'm trying to find what appears to be the impossible. I need 16.5 tires with highway tread that will provide good traction on asphalt. I restored a 71' Chevy PU and built the engine up probably more than I should have. Spent way too much money on that and now I need rear tires that will hold up to the HP and a 4.10 rearend. I'm too far over budget to change rims and tires all the way around. Who makes a 16.5 tire for this use? I would like to stay around 31-32 inches in height. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would recommend the 9.50-16.5T Dunlop Radial Rover A/T. 30.7" diameter, 6.8" tread width, and 9.5" section width.

See tire at:

Cost on a set of 4 is $377 plus shipping.
