also what do the numbers for the tires mean such as 205/40r17? thanks

205 stands for the width, 40 is the profile or the height of the sidewall, r is the speed rating, and 17 is the size of the rim.

r is not the speed rating, r stands for radial. The speed rating is found somewhere else on the tag. If its a 205/40/r17 most likely the speed rating with be z or v if a crappy tire. I work at Perfection Tire, I get asked this all the time.

ok thanks, but still has anyone heard of or own any adr rims? i have seen them on ebay and was just wondering if they were worth the money. thanks

Each model wheel will have a different weight. I would contact ADR http://www.adrwheels.com/ for specfic weights on the models you are thinking about.
