Project 57' Chevy vette underway.kris 11-26-2001, 09:09 PM Well, I thought it would be fun to archive my work here, and show the progress of what I am doing on my 57' Vette. So far, I have the body primered, and painted red. I just finished giving it all a good rub down with 1500 grit sandpaper. I have to touch up a few spots, then I will give it a spray of clearcoat and polish it. http://www.automotiveforums.com/kris/kris/corvette/Pict0002.JPG http://www.automotiveforums.com/kris/kris/corvette/Pict0003.JPG http://www.automotiveforums.com/kris/kris/corvette/Pict0004.JPG the color in the pics look almost orange. It really is red, allthought not as cherry red as I had hoped for. Rich 11-26-2001, 09:11 PM Lookin good so far, Kb. Keep us informed. :D Jay! 11-26-2001, 09:19 PM Coming along nicely. How it is now, it looks like they want it to be a 4x4. :) Jay! 11-26-2001, 11:42 PM Kris, you'd lower a Bentley, wouldn't you? kris 11-26-2001, 11:49 PM Originally posted by jay@af Kris, you'd lower a Bentley, wouldn't you? hey now, I just dont want enough gap that I can stick my finger in it. Jay! 11-26-2001, 11:51 PM So, if it was a particularly high-riding Bentley, you would? :finger: :silly2: j/k How's the engine in that kit? :D kris 11-26-2001, 11:55 PM Originally posted by jay@af How's the engine in that kit? :D Well, the engine lookslike a engine. :) But when I got all these models, there were a few chrome parts paks that came with it. I think I might try and use some of those. kris 11-28-2001, 12:11 AM Damn, I messed up tonight. I was going to glue some vents on the fenders, and the glue spooged out. So now I have to try and clean that off. I had a thought. I can get empty syringes from my friend who is diabetic. Do you think it would be possible to squirt glue out of those? primera man 11-28-2001, 07:00 AM Originally posted by kbslacker Damn, I messed up tonight. In those sort of cases only use *micro kristal clear*....dries clear and wont harm your paint. Wipes off with a wet cloth vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
