GTO guys...SuPeRcAr_MaN 08-06-2003, 07:58 PM Hey everyone. I haven't been on the Forums a lot lately, and I just realized we had a Muscle Car section. I own a 1966 GTO and Lemans. I am currently restoring the GTO, which I got last August. The details and of that restoration can be foundhere (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t101358.html). I just got the Lemans about a week ago, and a small description of it can be found in the same thread with the GTO restoration. You should find everything you would want to know about the cars there, but if you have any questions, please ask. I am trying to locate fellow GTO enthusiasts, since there aren't a lot of them in my area. There are pictures of the GTO in the link in my signature, and I will be adding more pictures soon. TorinoGT69 08-10-2003, 12:03 PM I am a big GTO fan just can't afford one right now. I had a 1967 Tempest but it was a huge project. I welded in new quarters, floor pans, and trunk floor. I had the whole thing in pieces but I ran out of money. Then I was forced to sell it because I had no place to store it. I still regret that. Good Luck with your project. SuPeRcAr_MaN 08-14-2003, 03:39 PM Check the site (in the sig and first post) for more pics. A few more of the GTO and 14 of the LeMans. LT4BLAZER 10-06-2003, 12:13 PM Hey everyone. I'm a little confused. You say it's a 66 GTO, but the grille is a 67. did someone change it out or is it really a 67 car? the tailights are 66 though. humm, confusing! I have a 66 that was my grandma's car and it was my first car, I still have it. http://www.geocities.com/FANNON1966GTO/ SuPeRcAr_MaN 10-06-2003, 04:43 PM The grilles in my GTO are from a '67. It looks like someone shoved them in there and they really didn't fit right. I will be replacing them with the original '66 grilles. I explained everything in my GTO Restoration thread in the Pontiac->GTO forum. SuPeRcAr_MaN 10-06-2003, 04:44 PM Very nice GTO by the way. Looks to be in tip-top shape too. Musclecarclub 10-07-2003, 04:43 AM Good luck on the resto. I think we all have experience with spending way too much money on a resto. SuPeRcAr_MaN 10-07-2003, 08:58 PM I am willing to do whatever it takes to get my GTO back to factory condition or better. I want it to look good and have enough horsepower to eat every Japanese car on the road. The LeMans is great, but that OHC 6 cylindar isn't anything to brag about. The GTO will be something to brag about. BTW, I am getting a lot of help with this, mostly from my father. BigBlazer94 10-08-2003, 12:14 AM Hey I own a '67 gto 6.6L 400 w/ a TH400. intake to headers.
