I just recently installed a A'PEXi World Sport exhaust and i'm fairly pleased with it. Except for one thing. The stock exhaust comes in two pieces, the muffler and a couple feet of piping around the bend, and the long part goes from the beginning of the bend to the cat. The world sport comes in three pieces that are in the same shape, no problem there. But the middle piece which is just the S shaped bend from the middle of the car to the right side is shaking on me. As soon as i start my car up, whether it be in the morning or afternoon or night, i will get this annoying sound which at first i thought was my muffler hitting the bumper. But i've determined visually that its the mid-pipe going up and down and hitting something. I haven't jacked my car up to get under it again since i've installed it which was last weekend. Is there anything I can do? My guess was that one of the hooks that goes into the rubber clamps came out, but i don't think that's the problem. Possibly a screw came loose but if that was the case i'd have a bigger problem than just a shaking pipe.

I dunno if this is a concern on EX models, but it sure as heck is on my car. Once around or below 800 RPM idle, the flange that connects the rear section to the midpipe, actualy rests against my GAS TANK! I have yet to fix it, and I think the only way to do so is to have a muffler shop heat the pipe and bend it over slightly to give some clearance. First check all your bolts/nuts screws and then check your hangers to make sure all are in place correctly. THEN inspect the entire piping to see where it might be coming into contact with something else at.

hey check that out, my email notification is working again.....

Yeah that only happens when it's idling or just get started going forward. I let it sit on idle and got out of my car, and from what i could see underneath, it looked like too much power was going through it or something. And obviously that's not the case. I guess i'll check whether or not it's hitting the gas pan, and i guess if so it can be fixed, thanks matt.
