The CA18i motor has 2 plugs per cylinder. The counter jockey at Repco peered into his computer and told me that they are different heat ranges. He gave me 4 x BCPR5ES and 4 x BCPR6ES.

Fine,I thought.I'll be able to follow the existing plugs to get them in the correct sides.Whipped off the Air filter, and hello........all the existing plugs are 5's.

I have no faith in the man from Repco,he's got stuff wrong before.
I have no faith in the guy who owned the car before me,he was a twat.
I have no manual to work from, and my last car didn't have any spark plugs.

Can anyone advise if Repcoman is speaking the truth, and if so,is there a correct configuration for the plugs?

Gee naki I am stumped here! For one I honestly didn't know that motor had 2 plugs per cylinder!

As for the number either will work since your's isn't a turbo model and the heat range isn't as important. 5's are slightly hotter and will combust the fuel little better. check the gap when you get them though. I would gap them to 1mm, if they are gapped at 1.1 you could try that and see how it goes.
