I just became the proud owner of a 2003 V6 Accord with the six-speed manual transmission. It comes with a Vtec 3.0 engine. I was wondering if anyone knew when it kicks in for these cars.

I believe its around 5000rpm, thats when I hear it.

what are the tell tale signs that I f*** it up?
The only thing weird with my 6-speed (to me anyway) is that it tends to pull to the right at pick-up speeds (right after shifts).
This baby is fast and Im still learning to drive it.
I keep chirping the tires from 1st to 2nd (almost intentional now) which Im sure is not a good thing:P

thats just torque steer. When accel fast youre gonna get a little of that, but its so much less than like a gt stang. The torque steer on my friends gt is crazy hard to control.

Thanx for replying to the question. I got the black one too! No navi tho, but i still love it. I also hear Vtec around 5000 RPM. Raced a old mustang, CRX, GSR, and a Prelude... my baby took em all with ease.

Anyone know if the tower bar from the 03 V6 6spm manual will fit on the 03 5sp AT, coupe of course?

mines canadian too and it also kicks in at 46 to 48 hunhred rpm

turn off the radio and let it rip in the upper gears ... you should notice a BIG difference in sound and speed .... my gsr kinda feels like a bunch of weight is removed from under the car once vtec engauges , so im sure yours isjust as if not alot more noticeable

i have an 04 Accord coupe, V6 6spd. its black. idk but to me it seems like on my car the vtec kicks in twice. to me it sounds like it hit just before 4k and just before 6k. The mods i have done are 15' Rockford HX2, Crossfire 600 watt amp, Tanabe drop springs, K&N air filter, 2 HKS Hi-Power exhaust cans w/ 2.5 to 3.0 custom mandral piping. I have a VAFC-II but i am having problems with hooking up the Throttle position wire and the RPM wire.
