got T boned by a kid and their ins. comapny is giving me fits!!

well my 91 gmc sierra k1500 is finally bit it!~
she was a good ole girl and still had alot of life in her.
I had just bought her back after it was totaled from a huge hail
storm here in Wyoming. looks aren't everything. Engine is!

So My ? is this if anyone can help me!
the title still does not reflect hail damage totaling from end of June this
year. it was less then a week after I bought it back the kid
t'd me which he hit the end of my front cab down to my rear passenger
tire. So, seeing the insurance co. denied me the right to get my
frame evaluated and my axle I'm not sure if she's worth buying back?
any pointers on this area?
also. the ins. co. is dragging their feet on getting it totaled (they
said they were totaling it). kinda wondering if they are waiting to
see if that hail damage shows up on the title? ummm?:loser:
they have been terriable about it all! yeah Like I held a sign up with
neon lights saying "oh yeah baby, hit my truck". Geesh!
Seeing the hail damage was covered by my ins. co. on comprehensive and the accident later was caused by another person. Do I still get
my ACV out of my truck? (actual cash value). Yes I got injured.
My big concern on this is having a manual tranny and ext. cab etc..
hubby and I are having a hard hard time finding another like this.
:icon16: without the hail damage of course!!! LOL
everything is automatic that we are finding. am looking for a 91-95
as these years are better then the newer trucks!
o.k. will quit yapping now! sorry! still torked about it being ruined!
and being :thefinger with by the insurance people!!!
Thanks ahead of time for any suggests!!! :o)

Talk to a lawyer, that will hurry them up if they are dragging their feet.

Sounds like my insurance company (Progressive) fiasco. I was in an accident from a person running out in the middle of the freeway, many cars rear ended each other - I was the last in the line. Did some front end damage, but still drove the vehicle for another month before taking it in to the body shop. No frame damage or steering problems..... just cosmetic!

Came back on the date agreed for repair completion expecting my truck to be all nice and fixed - and was told that my truck was in the SCRAPYARD! My insurance company did not call me or anything... they did NOT inform me of their decision nor did they let me know what I wanted to.

Their assinine adjustor idiot decided to scrap the vehicle because the repair was $350.00 over the fantasy blue book value.

Hello Progressive morons, I would have gladly paid the $350.00 to get it fixed!!! But after looking at the repair bill list of parts. Right there I found nearly $600.00 worth of the parts did not need replacement. Example: A/C condenser fan - aftermarket item I installed from auto store for $49.99. The repair shop listed the replacement as $200.00. The fan was not even broken in the first place, just a mounting clip. Replacement mounting clips are available in packs of four for $5.00. A/C condenser coil for $400.00. There was ZERO damage to the condenser... not a scratch, ding or bend. It was in perfect condition.... so why were they trying to replace it? Why did no-one talk to me - allow me to look at the situation before the big decision to scrap my vehicle???

The entire Kelly "Blue book" rating system is a scam.... intentionally designed to derate a vehicles' value for the benefit of insurance companies and the automaker ! The blue book said my 4X4 truck in new condition at the 90,000 mile mark was worth only $4000.00. Okay you stupid insurance company scam artists.... find me a 4X4 in the condition mine was for $4000!!!!!!

How can the $4000 fantasy kelly blue book be correct when these supposed $4000 value trucks are selling for $8000.00-$10,000 in the real world???!!! Shouldn't Crackpot Kelly's blue book be following actual vehicle values by consumers in the market and not made up?

How about living up to your promises... if you don't want to fix my truck, then YOU go find me one. I would like to know where this mythological place exists where actual blue book priced cars are sold such as $4000 like new condition 4X4's.

Another thing in this rant, why do car parts cost so much in the first place? A plastic molded car part sells for $180. A plastic bucket or snowshovel with the same amount of molded plastic costs $3.00??

Thats sucks man. Sorry to hear that.

Where is Wyoming are you though? I'm here in Sheridan, Wy.
You wouldn't happen to be in Gillette, would you. They had a huge hail storm a while ago.
