97' jimmy steering problemswyld1g 07-30-2003, 11:19 PM Hi, I have a 1997 jimmy with a steering problem. When going down the highway it pulls real hard to the right. The air pressure is good, and the breaks don't seem to be sticking. I replaced the idler arm and looked at all the ball joints. Could this just be an alignment problem? I woory about how hard it pulls. It started doing this about a month ago. Thanks wyld1g 08-02-2003, 03:13 PM I replaced the pitman arm today, wow what a pain that was. Had to remove the steering box.:bloated: TorinoGT69 08-02-2003, 03:17 PM A pull of that type is either going to caused by misalignment or a bad tire. Try swapping the tires from side to side if the pull goes away or goes the other way then you have a bad tire. Otherwise get the alignment checked. wyld1g 08-03-2003, 01:17 AM thanks for the input. The pitman arm was bad and solved most of the problem, now for the alignment. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
