Mac Haik in Georgetown, TX SUCKStangerine240 07-30-2003, 03:00 PM SO I bought a new truck there...my first new purchase experience ever, and they ruined it for me. I thought they were gonna be great...great store, great atmosphere. The sales man had the truck ready for me because I called on the phone telling him what I wanted. It was pure luck that he got my sale. The salesman promised it would be quick to get me in and out with my truck. We sat forever waiting to see a finance guy. He said in the end I had to go with FMC to get my rebates, so fine, I'll sign up for 8% interest rate with a 700 credit score for now...I'll refinance with my credit union later..whatever, right? First, they deliver the truck with dirt in the bed...they didn't wash/detail it very well. Turns out that we noticed a paint drip from the factory on the roof of the car right above the windshield. Why did they sell me this car in the first place, if I was going to have to take it back? I also had ordered a spray-in bed liner and cruise control. The aftermarket parts guy was good working with us. The bedliner chips when we put some car parts in it and we take it back to get resprayed. They had told us to wait 24 hours before putting anything in it and we had waited 48 hours. This time, there was a new aftermarket parts manager (Vance) and he was a total ass. When I got my truck back, he told me it shouldn't have been warrantied. I got in my truck and it was FILTHY. Who delivers a brand new truck back to a customer being so dirty?!? There was dust, paint spray, overspray from the bedliner on the FRONT of the truck (?!) and overspray from the bedliner INSIDE of the cabin on the headliner....WTF?! The body shop was nice and cleaned the truck up for me so it looked like new again. The Vance guy needs to be avoided. He ridiculed me when I was checking out my truck and says "Oh, wait, I think I see a fingerprint..." and start laughing...Gee, let's be rude to our customers. He then proceeded to tell my boyfriend how he is known to be "an asshole"....Very unappropriate behavior. After asking to talk to his manager, he then offered us a free window tint job and a bed mat. The tint job sucked ass....they didn't cut it evenly and it was very obvious. It was free though, right? I"m very unhappy with that dealership and will not be buying a 2005 mustang or anything else for that matter from them... Cliff Notes: Don't go to this Mac Haik - if you do, look over your vehicle in DETAIL before signing and don't buy anything aftermarket!!!! jeri72 02-22-2004, 10:31 AM That sounds like a horrible experience. Do you know that you can email Mac Haik in Houston and let him know about this. He is a very nice person and will care and follow up on this. Make him aware of the rudeness and by whom. You will get farther using no profanity. Just a suggestion. Just look up Mac Haik in Houston and email them there. He will get it personally. If you can't find the email address, I will help you. sargfish7 02-27-2008, 05:18 PM You are so right.. I am in the middle of a transaction from hell with the Georgetown, TX Jeep dealership and want to ask Mac Haik to identify a single individual at the complex to attempt to find an acceptable solution. To date, each attempt to resolve the issue involves a different salesman, sales manager, finance manager. You know the drill.... Ever since being a member of A & F I have pretty much only had interest in the car buying Q & A forum, but today decided to surf this vast site in some other area's and came across this interesting thread posted in 2003, and I note your post is quite current, will therefore make a few comments. I don't have a direct email address to Mac Haik to confront your issues, but can tell you this thread has already blemished the reputation of the dealership in a huge way, here is how it has happened Anyone whom google the dealership " Mac Haik " for information about their location - inventory or simply want to enter their website, this thread will show up on that google page, if you want me to explain further how this works, or you want to extend the damage further let me know. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
