CART announces lack of funds for 2004vectorclub 07-30-2003, 01:02 AM Champ Cars may become Broke Cars in 2004. Last week CART announced they need more funds to complete the 2004 season. Some believe that CART will become a private company again. The stock is way down. Paul Tracy has been hammering CART in the media. Thankfully, IRL has rubbed Toyota and Honda the wrong way with the mid season Chevy Engine issue. If CART should be bought out, maybe manufactures will consider coming back. It would sad to see CART totally collapse. IMSA made a semi-comeback. Maybe CART will find new life. Even if CART dies, I am not watching the IRL. Sluttypatton 07-30-2003, 05:24 AM I just went to the Molson Indy in Vancouver, it was a BLAST. I want to go next year, it would be a sad day when I can no longer attend. Dammit, they better gimme my Champ cars next year! z33guy 07-30-2003, 08:26 AM I hope they make it....but there can be only one series. If any teams bolt to the irl like newman haas, rahal, and what ever PT does could kill the series. Plus with the irl going road racing in 05. It might as well be barber dodge with 19 rookies in the field (but everyone starts out as a rookie sometime). Hopefully they will all stay. simdel1 08-11-2003, 04:20 AM Originally posted by vectorclub Even if CART dies, I am not watching the IRL. i feel exactly the same... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
