Hello, I was just out in the bone yards today and picked up a 1993 thunderbird SC. The car took a hard front hit so going back on the road will never happen for this bird again:biggrin2: Anyway I bought it :bigthumb: Everything looks damn good and I will be pulling the driveline soon. The new home for the supercharged 3.8 is my 1973 Datsun 240Z

What other then the headgaskets are the weak points? I am not looking for much more then the stock performance from this motor. But once its in I dont want to pull it again for many many moons. I am just looking to have a one of a kind street go kart that can be driven. I have spent over 8 years looking for my RUST FREE 240Z shell and now that I have it well....I couldnt think of a better driveline for her for the money.
Thank You for any help and or thoughts. :feedback:

Wow! That is going to be one beast of a car.

While you have the parts out of the car. Take the time and be willing to lay down the cash to tear down the internals, learn the details of the engine/tranny, and fix potential problems that you find. With good maintenence, that detup should prove very durable.
Remember, the best time to work on an engine is when you don't have a body wrapped around it. Do the work one and do it right.
