I've had my car back for four days now, the first two it felt fine but sunday the car started to hesitate a bit, primarily low down in the rpm band, but its really frustrating me, I havn't checked the plugs yet, but I'm going to, did any of you have any similar problems right after the swap, and if so how was it resolved?

2nd thing is I was looking through my engine bay and found a few things that worried me a little. Here are some picks, are these supposed to be attached to anything?

In just about the center of the pic, you can see what I'm looking at, its in the back, unfortunatly thats the best angle I could get at the moment. BTW this is in the back of the engine the red thing you see is my intake.

Well im not sure what im looking at but if it was fine on sunday unless someone swiped your hoses i doubt thats the problem(although again not sure what im lookin at) and for the hesitation problem giveme a lil more info is it at idle in neutral or under a load ect... but it does sound like a possible ignition prob. Does it start right away?

The hesitation is throughout the power band under stress but primarily below 5k, I'm checking the plugs tomorrow, but they're supposed to be brand new. If I can't figure it out i have a guy looking at it thursday. If it turns out to be the distributer, what distrubuter would i use? its a B16A Sir 1. Thanks

my friends B16(not sure what gen?) hesitates every once in a while. you take of in first, floor it, and it has like 10HP or something, then it hits like 2.5k and youve got full power, somehwere around 3 it all leaves, close to 4 you get it back, it just went on and off an on and off up til about 6 grand and then drove like normal through the rest of the gears, but it only did it to me once, ands ive been in the car when its done oit to him but only 3 times total, so its a very intermittent prob;lem and isnt fixed, but is this what happens to you.

Similar, it doesn't have a set schedule like that though, its just hesitation, no hesittation, hesitation, no....blah blah blah, and so on. It does it taking off, it does it around corners, it does it after upshits.....I sound like a Dr. Suess book...... But anyway, its definatly a prob.

well, his isnt exactly a set schedule either, I just stated the RPMs I was at to give an example, it is really just like you said, hesitation, none, hesitation, none, hesitation, none.... but it barely ever does it so I dont think it could be the same thing, and are you talking about it hesitates where liek if you step on it it kinda chokes and car shakes or it just has no power but doesnt really shake the car at all, cuz thats what his does, mine is the kind where when you stomp on it the car shakes hela and almost dies, then takes off :frown:

Just no power, doesn't shake at all. Then it'll surge for a sec and drop again. I had a mechanic look at it today and nothing. He had no clue, and since none of the scanners work, he couldn't use that either. One thing thats wierd that i noticed, it does it more around turns. Or maybew I just notice it more there because I normally accelerate like a fool on onramps. So it has to be ignition or fuel..... I'm thinking about just replacing parts till it works, but thats so much money. First thing i was going to do is replace the main relay since i have an extra anyway, then maybe the distributer. Any ideas would help. Teg, has your friend tried to do anything to fix his?

those are form an old school speed sensor. Wont make you hesitate
