Suggestions on souping up my astro

Hey guys. Newbie. I have an 87 astro, and I would like to soup it up. My plans include: Jet Black Paintjob Green Neon Undercar kit (some kind of) vinyl graphic sticker (flames, etc) 2 12" Rockford Fosgate subs I need suggestions on engine work.
