hi

i found this realy cheap lambo doors site:

http://lambodoors.com/

they sell a CD (U$ 50) with instruccions on how to make the conversion yourself. in an e-mail, they told me that you can buy every thing you need for U$ 90.- to U$ 200.-

i´d like to know if anyone has already tried it, because it seems great and a lot cheaper than those 750.- to 1500.- bucks kits.

yeah...I agree with v00do0 ...it just looks too simple and what not...something like that doesn't just cost so little and if it did...you better really know what your doing...I'm sure you'll make the diff. in cost by having to pay a prof. to do the job...
If you take on this challenge yourself...and it's successful...get us pics and a tutorial!

somthing like my doors isnt something I would experiment on with $50 worth of materials....I can only imagine them falling off on the highway or somthing...but if u are interested the trunk conversion is really easy to do and IS an inexpensive mod to do.

All you need is to attach to metal hinges to ur trunk hatch arms...the trunks is a little odd to open and close but it closes fine just like stock and it looks cool when open.

It is a bit showey but to each his/her own...
I'm not big on the "rice" deal but the doors are pretty tight...as long as you get them put in correctly and they don't fall of when you're infront of the club trying to make some suave entrance...that wouldn't be a very suave thing....

I think there ok, but I would go for the kits not the do it yourself instructions.

HAHAHA ARE U KIDDING ME??!!

talk about your all time scams!!! u really are dumb if u follow this. look closely on the site's front page... see the small print under the first pictures in the top far left corner? Look a lil odd to you? well it should cause it says "generally this kit is applicable for most cars doreign and domestic years 1985+."

Thats right folks, all DOREIGN cars! these people didnt even take the time to spell there damn product info right...

forget about it and do it professionally if u want it that bad....:thumbsdow

If I'm not mistaken...I believe that is what the overall opinion was from everyone who posted to this thread....the doors were cool but to get the job done professionally.....
Hooked on phonics....works for some...not all...

Hey,

I have tried it! I have one door up! The other door i am making suicide.

lambodoors.com sells the craziest kits.

the parts are posted as cheap b/c you can pick them up at a scrapyard.

i got my hinge, struts, etc for 75US dolllars. I would have saved more if i removed the parts myself but i was too lazy.

hope this helps.

Sounds good jw....
Got any pic's for us to see you work...
Also maybe a short description on what you did/how you did it...I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

HAHA!! I like the customer testimonials:

"My car gets too much attention now than ever before"

"I think this is featured in the new movie Fast and the Furious 2"

:screwy:

Anyways, I think Lambo doors are pretty cool looking. I don't doubt that one could aquire the parts for a very reasonable sum, but I think things could start getting tricky depending on your doors. I've been told that there is more to it if they aren't the right shape.
