03 Accord Coupe vs. TalonKamiKaze Accord 07-24-2003, 12:47 PM Well, it wasnt really a race. The talon driver is a friend of mine, and we had been driving around all night. We were going 30 in a 30 zone, and he pulled up next to me and revved and dropped it back in gear and zoomed off. Luckily i was messing with the cd player and when i looked up he was a bit ahead, so i gunned it too, and as soon as I hit the pedal i saw the blue lights right behind me. I pulled into the right lane and TWO cops flew by me, an UC monte carlo, and a marked Camaro, and pulled my friend. Thats the 5th time ive been in a race where the other person zooms off first and they get busted. Talk about a bad end to a good night though. 60 in a 35 they got him for. 6 Point ticket, but if he takes his dad to court, he gets out of it entirely, apparently the cop was pretty nice. 00accord44 07-24-2003, 01:30 PM why does he get off if he takes his dad to court? KamiKaze Accord 07-24-2003, 01:58 PM Well i guess it didnt come out right. Hes getting it thrown out if he goes to court. He has to take his dad because he is 16. He didn't even double the limit... or was it because he was racing? 00accord44 07-24-2003, 04:49 PM I'm so glad we don't have that points thing here in IL. And if we do, nobody told me!!! After 11 tickets (only 3 moving vio's) you'd think I would know about it. I just know when I got pulled over in Florida and they were talkin about addin 2 points to my license I was like :wtf: KamiKaze Accord 07-24-2003, 07:44 PM Im not sure why so many points, other than maybe because he changed lanes in front of me really fast with no signal. I dunno if that affects points or what? Mrock 07-25-2003, 01:14 AM I assume if the cop is being a real pain in the azz, then ANY type of traffic violation could "add up" the points, I suppose. I'm in Florida...so we get the lovely points system....:swear: kidrocket 07-25-2003, 01:18 AM here in KS, you can just pay double the fine on a speeding ticket, and it becomes innatentive driving, no points on the record, no hike in insurance vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
