I have been hanging on the boards for several days now, and it seems there are rarely any posts in this forum. If there are any of you "Mustang" folks still around, sign in with your mods etc. Later.

I don't guess you know who manufactured your Cobra R hood do you? I thought about buying one, and heard some bad things about some of the companies that make them like Cincinnati Composites etc.

Sorry, I am not sure which company made it.. I know it is not a cervini's.. I saw a cervinis for Fox coupe and it was better quality. I know my hood being black shows every little imperfection.. I am very picky about everything on my car.. to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have bought the hood, it has a couple of waves in it.. but it still looks really nice unless you are right on it looking for mistakes.. I will try to get some good pics of it for you to see.. I am also looking for a S281 wing if you know anyone that might have one..

Hey guys.. just thought I would post this here. My 96 Cobra is for sale.. I am in East Texas.. no delivery. sorry.. but anyways.. This car is in excellent condition.. couple of door dings.. very small.. and the paint is cracked a little on the front right corner of the bumper in a size roughly 3 inches squared. I am asking 13,000 and it has 92,000 miles.. and I know for certain that about 20,000 are highway.. I drive 15 miles one way to work and the previous owner drove about 60 one way to work.. anyways.. if you don't want to buy it, please tell your friends. you can see a pic of it at www.dfwstangs.net. go to the forum, and to the for sale section.. it is in a post called (Must Go!! 96 Cobra) thread posted by me.. thanks

I'm here too. 94 GT with a blueprinted 306. I usually post on Mustangworks, Corral is a bit coarse for my taste.

Gears, Exhaust and a shifter...that would be a decent start.

Yeah, those are the best mods to start with, except IMO you don't need a shifter. I run my stock stick and can outshift most people round here. The only part I miss is the 2nd to 3rd offset, but oh well.

Then I'd make a decision on your long term goals...i.e. casual driver, drag race or corner carver. With that decision made you can do some suspension mods and build the car up for the activity that you like most, which for me is twisties!

I will agree with MustangBelle, a shifter is not a necessity, it just makes driving your car a little more enjoyable. The 2-3 offset is nice however.

ooo yes...especially with the new combo I'm currently running. I've got a comp cams xtreme energy dual pattern, but unfortunately I'm stuck on which heads to purchase, so I said fuck it and threw my worked E7tes back on. Well....its really not a good idea to run stock heads with a cam with a .500+ lift---therefore missing a shift = good bye valve springs! :(

The pro 5.0 makes the car feel nice and tight, and more responsive. The stock shifter is extremely rubbery, as I'm sure you've noticed. I don't know if this trick works with the T-45 as it does with the T5, but you can purchase the pro 5.0 handle ONLY from Holcomb Motorsports for like 35 bucks, and bolt it onto your stock shifter base. While it wont be billet and utilize those nice stops, the shift WILL be firmer and shorter, if you're not interested in speed shifting.
