Why the old RX-7?h3ystrok3r 07-20-2003, 09:35 PM i have a stupid question but when i read around this forum everyone wasnts to fix up the old RX-7's. Arent they only single turbo? i want to either get an RX-7 or a Supra but i am leaning to the rex. i am just wonder wether to get an old one or a new one. dayna240sx 07-20-2003, 10:24 PM it all depends on how much money you have or are wanting to spend. You cant get a decent 3rd gen with low miles for under about $15,000. You can get a decent 2nd gen turbo II for less than $5,000 h3ystrok3r 07-20-2003, 11:44 PM the third generation would be faster though right? dayna240sx 07-20-2003, 11:57 PM not nec. h3ystrok3r 07-21-2003, 12:19 AM lets say you put about 5-10 thousand dollars in upgrades on each which will be faster? is it possible to put a third generation motor in an older body? dayna240sx 07-21-2003, 12:27 AM yes, the easiest way is to buy adapting engine mounts from K2RD.com Ted is GOD when comes to the 2nd gen RX-7 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
