I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue and I am having some problems with the car. I noticed one day that the headlights dim at strange times of the night, the car acts the it is not charging but then works just fine. I also have had problems with the clock radio, it reads strange time example would be 18:31. Within the next few minutes it changes by itself to 11:33. I brought the car in the dealer could find nothing wrong with the clock radio. I also went out one morning and my battery was dead. I had to have the car jump started, the dealer could find nothing wrong again with my car. I also have noticed that the headliner is drooping in the car. I had the dealer look at that also, nothing wrong again. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing these problems. Thanks Nikki V

I've read a lot about Intrigues that have the dimming problem. Evidently, it isn't a serious problem. I read something in a newsgroup about how something on the car needs a lot of amperage right after startup. It's like turning on your a/c at home...the lights sometimes dim for just a moment. I've noticed the dimming on my car, but I've checked the charging with my tester and it's fine.

the intriques have bad voltage regulators and it's
built in to the alternator, you have to replace the alternator with the botch brand to fix the dimming problem.
