Hi,

I was needing help with 2 different problems with a 2000 model suburban.

1. My A/C has gone out 8 times in 2.5 years I have had the truck (I bought it new). All different problems that were fixed, but the last outage was the compressor (second time). Since they replaced it, the A/C does not cool AT ALL while the vehicle is idling. I know A/C usually does not cool as good at an idle, but I have lost all cooling at idle.

2. When I get below 1/4 of a tank of fuel, my vehicle performance goes to crap. The engine will not rev over 4000 RPM, the transmission does not shift correctly, it back fires. . . . My dealership says this is a normal problem, and it is time to refuel. I do not believe that!! If I refuel at that point, there is still 10 gallons in the tank. Seems to me as though the fuel pump is maybe sucking air? I know below a half of a tank, the fuel pump becomes VERY loud. Delaer says it is no longer covered with fuel, and this is also normal.

I was also wondering if there is a way to bump up the idle on the 5.3L setup?

Thanks in advance!
Brian
