What is thatraptor 11-20-2001, 01:21 AM Can anybody help? I was cleaning out the boot and removed the small panel on the right side of the car and found a bottle with two pipes coming out of it and min & max markings on it, It has a oil I think in it which is below the min mark and I would like to top it up but I don't know what it is or what fluid is in it as it only has japanese writing on it. Thanks Philip:grey: Dak 11-20-2001, 02:46 AM HICAS oil reservior, use normal auto trans fluid to top it up. raptor 11-20-2001, 02:49 AM Thanks alot:D :D :D Alister 11-26-2001, 11:48 PM On the R33 GTS-4 it's the fluid for going 4wd, I could be wrong as I don't know Japanese but this is the section out of my Owners Manual. Doctor 11-28-2001, 09:08 PM It is the 4WD fluid container. Its not the Hicas container, as it is located between the air box and the strut tower. Cheers, Doc Dak 11-29-2001, 12:42 AM Duh, forgot, thats right, reservoir for the 4WD fluid, still, use the same fluid, ATF fluid. Chilla 12-03-2001, 02:47 AM So, does anyone know whether we should top this reservior up when hot or cold? Can anyone decypher that section of manual? Chris:ylsuper Dak 12-03-2001, 04:03 AM Check it hot, don't go above the full mark. SlowGts-t 12-03-2001, 03:09 PM yeah! Some dingaling told me the hicas resevoir was in the boot.
