How does chrome add weight???

Well, think of it this way....
Take a non-chrome wheel of any material, and then plate it with chrome. You have just added material, and thus have added weight. I'm not sure how dense chrome is, but from what I hear it's pretty heavy.

theyre chrome plated then nickle plated like 3 times.. lot of extra weight

IT IS EASY, CHROME IS HEAVY, WHY DO YOU THINK THEY USE ALUM. INSTEAD OF CHROME ALOT.
