i was in here a few months back saying i was going to get my B16a in and finally 4 days ago i got it in ........yesterday i took it to the tracks at firebird international here in chandler AZ and ran it 4 times in 1/4 mile just to see what it would get stock.........my times were in order 15.3,15.6,15.6,15.4 and went for another one but they closed down.......I didnt get the ECU chipped yet so redline is only 7200 RPM and the Vtec kicks in at 5100 RPM so i still dont have full effect yet being i only have a stock P28 cpu........One other thing is not to mention it was 101 % degrees outside when i was running it too........sooooooooo The power of that engine is ridiculous i didnt believe any of ya until i got it in and i cant believe the power of that thing compared to the CX Piece O S motor.....So for whoever helped with everything and answered ?????'s I appreciate it...........and at one point i was talking about 2002 si well I smoked one at the tracks so that answers that ???? But thanks and for whoever is close to getting a swap V T E C is the way to go!!!!!!

I dont know why, but I dont think anyone cares.. Thats mean! CMON GUYS! HE GOT A SWAP! How could not one person care? I wish I had a swap in mine.. I know if I got one I'd be thrilled about it too! I just can't believe you're running a P28 to push a B16A. I mean I can but damn that thing must run shitty.

i hear a lot of people chipping out SOHC ecu's to push there DOHC engines, i heard that from a few different people i know that post on honda tech all the time....don't know, but if it works it works.

A friend of mine runs a B18A Block with a 16 head +Turbo with the DX ecu with no probs. The timming was controlled by an MSD box. The fuel and vtec were controlled by an APEX'i unit.

Its fine to run on a slightly dif ecu, you just won't get the full pontential of your engine unless you have control over the ignition, fuel, and vtec by a piggy unit or have the proper ecu.

my friend eric (i think he's "CrazyNinja" on here) got a jdm b16 in his 92 hatch, w/ the LSD tranny....man, going from the 72hp stock engine to the one he has now..insane difference..he let me drive it a couple times, i accidentally roasted the tires through 2 gears haha..not used to have 170 hp in a hatch :)

now thats a huge difference, im wondering what it would be like to drive my friend's 360+whp hatch :eek: (he's running like 12lbs of boost....getting a sleeved block, and going to run something like 27lbs!)
the difference in those two has got to be astronomical.
congrats on the swap...someday i shall have as hatch w/ a b16!

holy crap :eek: dreem u back. 27 psi is crazy if the civic can take it. my buddys eclipse was tuned to 20 and that shit was crazy so 27 is insane.

27lbs!!!!????? that is nuts if at all possible. i know anything is possible but really that is almost too much. i know someone running 19lbs in his 4th gen with almost everything done to his motor, blocking, sleeving, stand alone, etc. the motor was built for it. he spend an absurd amount of money and he thinks he can push maybe 24lbs at most. how is he gonna run 27lbs, with just a sleeved block?

Cool man, I'm going from a DX engine to a B16B type r and it will be finished up tomorrow or friday. By how excited you are, multiply that by 100 and that'll be me by this weekend :)

Make sure you have about $500-$1,000 for little parts to get it in. I found this out the hard way over the past couple weeks.
