I Want OneHeep 03-24-2001, 09:52 PM MaximumBrian 04-08-2001, 08:37 AM My uncle ordered a CL55 AMG. Quite nice, but he won't get it until Summer. 0-60 = 5.9 seconds. Not bad for a huge coupe. carman 04-08-2001, 02:36 PM Who wouldn't want a CL convertible?? Carguy 04-08-2001, 07:02 PM Naw....would get mad every time a bird crapped on it! Bommmmmmmmbs awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!! carmaster 04-08-2001, 08:17 PM MaximumBrian 04-08-2001, 10:17 PM I'd rather have the coupe over the convert. BRABUS 04-12-2001, 12:40 AM verboom 04-14-2001, 09:56 AM Brabus rocks, they do the best tuning ever, just because it's very subtle, and very tasteful. You end up with a car that looks factory, but different, y'know what I mean? Heep 04-14-2001, 07:36 PM Brian... I need to come down there and get a ride in your uncles CL...friggin awesome. I want a ride in the Max, too :D NSX 11-08-2001, 10:16 AM damn..what a nice car LM should enter in a CL-LM gang$tarr 11-12-2001, 08:37 PM Originally posted by MaximumBrian I'd rather have the coupe over the convert. same here, the coupes way better I've ridden in a CL600.... lemme tell you, not too shabby :D 99AccordCoupe 01-29-2002, 09:15 PM I've taken a CL 500 on the test course at Mercedes Powertrip last year. I waited in line for 40 min. to test drive it ONE short lap with my girlfriend. WOW. So quiet, so smooth, very responsive, BUT... it's a heavy car and going through the twists you feel it. It accelerates fine, but it's not a sports car by any means. It's too big and heavy. But as a luxury cruiser, it doesn't get any better. gang$tarr 01-30-2002, 04:55 PM isn't it supposed to be a sports touring coupe? i agree with that Thunda Downunda 03-27-2002, 05:09 PM mercedes make truly majestic big coupes, don't they? - i'd have one in a heartbeat btw the current CL was styled by local peter accardiapane, who started his career doing aftermarket styling kits for holdens and fords i guess ability can take you anywhere in life Pennzoil GT-R 07-23-2002, 05:44 PM they are photoshopped right? CL doesnt come in coupe, even Brabus wouldn't butcher such a beautiful creation. bobbyM 07-29-2002, 11:01 PM I see all these pics on rice burner on this page ,I though this page was about merc cl500 . does anyone drive one of these ? benziecl600 10-26-2002, 04:06 PM why cant i have one??? if only dreams came true... benziecl600 10-26-2002, 04:06 PM why cant i have one??? if only dreams came true... benziecl600 10-26-2002, 04:06 PM why cant i have one??? if only dreams came true... benziecl600 10-26-2002, 04:06 PM why cant i have one??? if only dreams came true... :( Pennzoil GT-R 11-01-2002, 08:23 AM Originally posted by NSX damn..what a nice car LM should enter in a CL-LM they kind of did, the CLR, but it seemed to like flying more than racing NSX 12-31-2002, 06:18 PM Originally posted by Pennzoil GT-R they kind of did, the CLR, but it seemed to like flying more than racing it seems so awkward though, on supercars.net: its so low... Pennzoil GT-R 01-01-2003, 07:37 AM Originally posted by NSX it seems so awkward though, on supercars.net: its so low... it was lower than an F1 car. the problem was everything was just too close to its tolerance levels. once it crossed them and the pitch of the car got too much, all the downforce turned into lift and flipped it. ell_d 04-09-2004, 07:11 AM I live in the UK, and when I was looking to change my aging BMW 750iL, I considered a mercedes CL. As the kids had left home, and my wifes ML was suitable for the dogs, I thought that i would go for a 2-door. So i booked a test drive in a CL55 AMG, and was astonished at the performance. Sad thing is, I was evem more astonished by its auwful looks! I could only liken it to a CLK on steroids! Point of the matter is, that i was so impressed by the power and the drive, that i ordered a S55 AMG L and its one of the best cars I have ever owned. Where as the CL is blatently trying to be big and flash, the S Class looks far more understated and subtle. A admire mercedes for their geniuse, but the CL is without doubt the ugliest car that they produce. The SL on the other hand is the most gorgous car i have ever owned. It seems that the preportions are just right. Well done MB! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
