Mugen strut bar...amazing results!emerge 07-11-2003, 09:56 PM my mugen strut bar came in today. i immediately installed it on my car and took it for a spin. i was suprised at how well it improved my turning. i used to have a lot of trouble "scrubbing" (tires rubbing against wheel wells). i actually tried to scrub while driving and found it very difficult if not almost impossible. i originally only bought it because i got a good deal on it, but now i'm glad i did because i can tell big improvement. pics below... http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/815556mugenstrut.jpg Rapidito 07-11-2003, 10:02 PM looks good. how much did it cost you? B16EJ1 07-11-2003, 11:25 PM I hate to break this to you emerge. I bet you bought that off ebay huh? That's a " Mugen Style " strut bar. The easy way to tell is the badge and the 3 piece construction. The actual Mugen bar is a one piece construction and it looks like this............ http://store5.yimg.com/I/twincamtech_1744_9627517 sageuvagony 07-12-2003, 12:13 AM as long as he has his results :-) These things dont ever break do they? If they did it would suck ass! Damn I love emerge! Modding his car pretty quickly. New things just keep coming in... Keep it up! sageuvagony 07-12-2003, 12:17 AM These people are dickheads! look at this Look at this ebay auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33591&item=2423056035) They call it the "Mugen strut bar" all over... funny how in smaller letters it says "this mugen-style strut bar......." sageuvagony 07-12-2003, 12:20 AM I wonder if installing one of these will improve my turning at ALL on my stock wheels and suspension... will it help anti-roll a lil? I mean the leaning when I turn or switch lanes.. emerge 07-12-2003, 01:06 AM yeah i know it's not a real one. i found that out when i took it up to a local shop today. the guy told me mugen ones are one piece. plus the fact that i had to put the decal on the strut bar kinda gave it away. but hey, it works... Hey B16, i see a strut bar in your engine bay on your avatar. What kind you got? B16EJ1 07-12-2003, 01:11 AM OEM. I like my engine looking sleepr too. B16EJ1 07-12-2003, 01:16 AM Originally posted by sageuvagony I wonder if installing one of these will improve my turning at ALL on my stock wheels and suspension... will it help anti-roll a lil? I mean the leaning when I turn or switch lanes.. Yes it will aid in eliminating body roll. It's just the quality and construction that determines how much. I suggest Carbing strut bars. They lock the towers to the firewall and are lighter than Mugen bars. oh and they cost a grip. http://www.jdmspecperf.com/products/carbing/p11bars.jpg sageuvagony 07-13-2003, 10:05 AM their just bars!!!! Do they cost that much cuz of what their made of or cuz of that they do? (Kinda like medicine...or an artificial leg, 200 or LESS to make and $10,000 to buy) B16EJ1 07-13-2003, 02:32 PM Yeah and an Intake is just a tube and basically a sock on the end but look at what people pay for em. You get what you pay for. Jas_M 07-14-2003, 02:30 AM Where can you buy the Carbing bars?
