The Thunderbird has much lower insurance than the Mustang. Tough to say what your insurance rates will be as it depends on age, geographical location, vehicle, grade point average, whether you're primary or secondary, etc.

I'm a nerd, and I'm not afraid to admit it!

Nerds Autocross! and can tune their own suspension(still working on that part though)

on a serious note though, I think most insurance companies knock 10% or so off the cost, that's gonna be a pretty big difference.

My daughter is 18, has a 4/6L '95 T-Bird in midwest. Her insurance is separate, has 100/300 liablility, no collision or comp coverage, 25K meds, and it costs her about $360 every 6 months. She has no tickets and good grade discount.

I just turned 18, have no accidents or tickets on my record. I have a '95 T-bird, 4.6L V8 and live in the midwest. I am currently paying around $90/month with the "B Average plan", and no drivers ed courses with liability + comprehensive.
