Position Of O2 Sensor on R32 GTS-T-Joel- 11-17-2001, 01:58 AM Is it normal to have a O2 Sensor hanging out the back of the cat converter.. The Sensor looks like a small pencil sized probe sticking in to the back of the cat.. The cat converter looks only slightly bigger than the exhaust diam.. Is that normal .. as it looks like it has been previously changed... Oh yer the exhaust is stock... Dak 11-17-2001, 02:30 AM That is not an O2 sensor, it is a sensor to tell when the cat overheats. -Joel- 11-17-2001, 04:20 AM thought it looked a little to small for an O2 sensor... meggala 11-17-2001, 04:45 AM the 02 sensor is on the dump or the front pipe cant remember but I think the dump meggala -Joel- 11-17-2001, 04:57 AM Hey Meggala, Hows your beast does it feel like the turbs has potential... hey I was told not to bother with the VG30 Turbo today as they seemed to think that with a bleed setup, std turbo 1bar boost and a 3" exhaust i would get around the 160-170 rwkw.. They said they had done an auto and it got 168kw or sumthing... I asked them about the computer.. they said bahhh give it about 3 days and she will adjust to the new boost... ?!??! meggala 11-17-2001, 07:15 AM The issue with the vg 30 is that it doesn't come one strong until higher revs about 3500 but I'll confirm that tomorrow on the dyno. the highest I have seen on a stock turbo is 145 If anyone is better let me know. I like the vg cause it is steel wheel but I didn't have the stock turbo on my motor this was one of the cheapest replacements. if you are going to change turbos get something better is my advice may be a t3/4 hybrid or a gt series 2535 these are newer technology and will give better results you can sell your turbo for more than an you will pay for a vg 30 steel wheel. cheers meggala -Joel- 11-17-2001, 08:50 AM How about the VG30 Ceramic turbo? That obviously would spool up a little quicker.. And possibly hit the 160-170 rwkw mark? as it flows better.. meggala 11-17-2001, 02:21 PM yep that would probably be beter but I would be asking my self is the turbo knackered if not keep it other wise if you want an up grade get some thing bigger btw jms said that someone got over 190rwkw from a vg30 steel wheel turbo but they didn't know whatother mods that at least tells me it supports it ifyou high flow that particular turbo then you can get 200-220 at the wheels I've seen this but on an rb25 so that means the flow is there. cheers meggala I paid $350 for the steel wheel version of mine from JMS vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
