Hi guys.
Just wondering if anyone uses thermowrap for their wires or hoses. Or something around the turbo?????
Because now that its getting up to 40 degrees here in mildura my engine bay gets bloody hot, and some of the wires near the turbo get all soft all feel like they are going to melt.

I don't know much about it but have been considering it the japanese use it and there isthermalwrap out there but i haven't looked or found it yet. Ithink it would be worth while but not absolutly necessary they get very hot days in japan as well and if thiswas an issue nissanwould have done it as standard. Ibelieve there are peformance gains to be had buy using it as well.

Hey Thar Ethan,

Thermotec is good stuff. A mate uses it on his jag XJS (with seriously blown V8 - read that 1200 hp).

He uses it to keep the exhaust temperatures up to increase the flow and reduce the friction. He reckons it gave him around 10 hp. The by product is huge reduction in temp in the engine bay. He was having fuel vaporisation problems when the car had been sitting after a run. The wrap solved the problem.
