Bored out engines

I have a 350 engine and it is bored over .060. I am looking to sell my car and want to have my next engine bored over the same amount. I was wondering what the chances of a engine .060 are to survie?

Just curious, but why would you want to bore the motor over?

I can understand the lure of getting a few extra cubic inches out of it. But its more expense you dont need to spend. If you plan on building another motor I suggest on starting with the least amount of bore as possible.

.060 over doesnt leave you a whole lot of room for wear in the cylinder walls. If for some reason you threw a rod, scored the cylinder wall it would most likely be a shot block. If it was say stock bore or .030 over you'd have a chance of salvaging it by boring it to .060.

And technically speaking, .060 over gives you a 361ci or 5.9liter motor as opposed to 350ci/5.7liter.

The only way for me to have an engine be bored over .060 is to have it not be bored at all before or else the engine would not be able to handle it. I have my engine apart now and there is quite abit of room left in the walls and for any block to throw a rod or somthing it would be preaty much useless but in some cases i guess it could be fixed.
