brand for manual trans. fluid?neunan 07-06-2003, 04:43 AM im planning on flushing and replacing the manual trans fluid in my car sometime soon. hopefully this week. any recommendations on a brand? maxspeedhonda 07-06-2003, 08:59 AM I know that the manual suggests Honda Brand ecspecially for lsd. But you can also use regular motor oil, check a manual on the weight. I have been told before also not to use synthetic in it. neunan 07-06-2003, 10:45 AM yea, i noticed that the manual recommends that too. but since it also recommends honda brand motor oil and honda brand oil filters...i figured people did something else. Options 07-06-2003, 11:10 PM I just use regular motor oil (royal Purple), even though the manual says use there fluid for trannies, but its ok to use the motor oil for a limited time, but when ever you have the patience to go to the dealership, i would get what they reccomend. mastarolla 07-07-2003, 01:01 AM Use honda fluid...if its not an option ive heard use mobil1. Synthetics reduce friction resulting in better overall performance. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
