1992 SC question

I've had a '92 SC for about a year now. I got it from my dad for cheap -- the cost of me and my wife flying half-way across the country to pick it up and drive it back. Since I've had it, I've had to replace the clutch (it's a 5-speed standard), the water pump and now the passenger-side doorlock is out.

Is this the beginning of the end? How much should I put into it? My dad still loves this car, and, frankly, I do too. But I'm worried about exactly what I'm getting into. Since I had the water pump and clutch fixed, it runs great, but the AC doesn't cool well and it seems to run a tad rough with the AC on.

As a fellow super chicken owner, my advice is to drive it with the windows down and listen to that beautiful whine.

I'd keep it, the lower production numbers and performance will hopefully make it a collectible one day.

The probloems your experiancing are common for cars taht old. you could expect those issues from any car that is 11 years old. and like SC bird stated, these WILL be worth much moola eventually. these things are getting harder and harder to find now adays (in decent condition). Bottom line.........Fix the ac (it prolly just needs to be recharged) and KEEP IT!!!!!

Yeah, I concurr...
I've had my 90 SC for 5 years now. They are awesome running cars, and they will hold their investment value. Plus, you can get spare parts pretty easy all over the usa.
here's another site you might like... www.sccoa.com its very helpful.
