Ford stop making 302s. So I really do not think it will have that engine. As for the Fastback, I have heard or seen no such thing.

Mach 1 will be back.
Ford plans on making several "Special Edition" cars to sit between the GT and Cobra. They started it off with the Bullit. Next is the Mach 1 and afterwards, possibly Boss and Fastbacks...Who knows.

I thought the mach 1 was just a concept:confused: They will be coming out with a 400hp "Terminator"....that will be pretty interesting. I think it is basically an image thing, with low production numbers and high pricing.

Why didn't they come out with the cobra competition? It would be such a sweet car for the money.

Motor Trend did an article on two cobras a while back, the cobra competition and the jet s/c. I forgot what issue it was, but I havn't heard anything more about them. They were supposed to do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds and cost around 32,000.

That is partially correct. Ford is considering developing a MODULAR 5.0...based on the 5.0 block that is now available for 96+ Mustangs through Sean Hyland Motorsports in Canada. So yes, it is a 5.0, but not like the pushrods of the past. Those have ceasted production completely, even in the Explorer.
