fog light fixrandom155 07-02-2003, 07:19 PM How do i fix it so my fog lights stay on when i have my high beams on? rmousir 07-07-2003, 01:19 PM How do you have them hooked up right now? Are they the factory install lights or after market? Have you checked your wiring? It sound like you may have a bad wire connection somewhere. Statous 07-07-2003, 09:32 PM The factory fog lights are made to turn off with the high beams, that how mine are, it's just the way they are, not a bad wire. The only think I would think of is to change the wiring. Detach the wiring thats there, and run new wire directly from the lights to your switch inside. I don't use my high beams enough to care, so I havn't looked into it, but the factory lights are connected to the headlights some how. spooleffect 07-14-2003, 12:05 PM Take out the crappy oem lights and get aftermarket ones using the harness that comes with the lights. I have Hella 550's and they work great. When my highbeams are on I can see way far downrange plus I have great lateral and shortrange lighting from the hellas. XJnick 07-31-2003, 10:59 AM The factory fog lamps' relay is connected to the fog lamp switch which is then into the headlamp delay module (located under dash.) You'd attach the switch through a fuse to the battery or some other always hot connection to bypass this setup. Although, there are too many disadvantages to make me want to do this... -Nick vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
