I know this may be a stretch, but does anyone know the part number for the alternator in the X?

I could call my local dealer and ask, but I don't feel like hassling them.

Yup. Seeing as you can only get a Nissan alternator for now, there isn't much point in knowing the part number. Just give Nissan a call and drop your pants!

FWIW, once you get the part #, plug it into nissanparts.cc (http://www.nissanparts.cc) and you'll get about the best price going.

Thanks, Brent. Thats exactly why I was looking for it. I emailed them directly (nissanparts.cc) to get the number, if they send it to me, I'll post it here and how much they charge (if the sell it).

I know they sell them, under $300 as I recall. Call your dealer and get the part number, don't waste time filling out the request form there.

If they don't need a core returned, send your old one to Gordon/Warmonger, he wants one to prototype from.

The part number for the Xterra alternator is: 23100-4S100R

Nissanparts.cc has them for $201.21

Elroy,

If they don't core it, I want it. I need a guinea pig to design bracketry to hopefully install a 140 amp GM unit.
