I have an 86 non-turbo RX-7 and was wondering if I should buy a turbo and if it would be worth it. The turbo I'm looking at is brand new and 900 dollars. Thanks for your help.

okay so $900 for the turbo, right? But what about the turbo manifold? Wastegate? Downpipe? boost pipes, IC, additional fuel management? oil lines???

etc etc

so how much money do you think you'll have in it when you are done? and how long will that N/A engine with 9.4:1 compression ratio last???

Don't do it!

I totally agree with Dayna240sx, it seems easy to turn an n/a car into a turbo, but the truth is, it just isn't. You would be way better off just buying a rebuilt turbo II engine to put into your RX-7 now. You will save yourself a lot of headaches in the future.

actully I think it would be a better idea to just get your engine ported and polished, becuase turbo+rotary=:bloated:
