Uh Oh with oil

My 17 year old had a brain cramp and put coolant in the oil - a whole bunch! He has only driven about 4 miles since because of the enormous amount of smoke. We just discovered his mistake and drained the oil and changed the filter. Permanent damage?

uh oh. That's a big no no, but I wish I could help and tell you, but that's just not possible, from my standpoint. Hopefully no major damage. Good luck.

OK he swears he didn't put the coolant in the oil but yet the oil is the consistency of the mixture of coolant and oil with a slight green sheen. He said his coolant keeps disappearing and he keeps adding to the correct reservoir. His blazer also overheats very quickly but the radiator only appears to be down a little...any other explanation possible? There is stuff spewing out the exhaust as well.
