Buying 95 RX7... any pitfalls?Cyprus106 06-30-2003, 02:54 PM ok, I've got a question... I found a damn good deal on an RX7. Great condition, all stock, TT 95 with 70K miles. Some stupid shit sideswiped it and it got repaired and sold. I've wanted a rex for years but just never really seriously considered buying one till now. I've heard the engines catch fire easy and/or they need rebuilds before 100K miles. True? Any of it? All of it? How much does a rebuild cost and what should I look out for? I don't know much about RX7 rotaries and I don't want to get raped here and never know it. rxtacy 06-30-2003, 06:27 PM read through the other threads of this forum. these questions have already been answered. dayna240sx 07-01-2003, 12:22 AM yeah and if you dont know anything about rotarys, your going to pay too much for anything. 13BDriver 07-02-2003, 12:46 AM Well, my experience has been that they need rebuilds from 50-70k almost consistently, depending on the maintenance done. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
