Does it really matter which brand. They all work the same correct?

all a CAI does is deliver more air per inch what you need to pay attention to is the filter that is where the power comes in not the tubing or the name. the k@n filter is an awsome filter to go with that is what i use and it gives truely about 5-6 HP to the wheels but it does not matter what maker makes the tubing they are all the same.

the straighter the pipe, the faster the air will be sucked into the engine for more power. if u had a 2 inch intake with two 90 degree turns in it, its gonna suck. but if u have an AEM pipe that has few low angle bends and a consistent 3-4" diameter, then you will get much better response.

dont listen to chrome boy hes been spitin fire allll over this forum.
everythin matters when it comes to the intake.
piping size, filter, where the filter is placed, the type of metal, the whole point of a cai is to get colder air, but when its a generic system, using plain aluminum, it jus heats up. defeating the whole purpose. jus stick to what works AEM, Injen. there almost identical.

the aem and injen have a layer of protectant over theyre pipes, so heat isnt tha much of a problem.

the air moves so quickly through the tube, though, the air temp difference is minimal

Aem is a nice intake but I would suggest going with the Injen. The 03 Tiburon Dyno Tested with the Injen CAI with an additional 15.6 HP to the wheels

Thats what the site had... If they did false advertising that wouldnt be very cool but thats what it showed and Injen backs up what it says.. Each Tiburon may vary but it dyno'd at + 15.6 with the Racing Division CAI.. I'm for sure gonna get one.. wheather its 15 HP gain or a 7 gain, it's still more than I had to begin with :)

you'll notice a big difference in throttle response and the sound is awesome.

Installed Injen cold air intake on my 03 Tiburon 4 Cyl., the sound is awesome and responsiveness is escellent in all RPM range, reving is much much faster.
Removing stock air intake is a bitch but installation is very easy, though special attention is needed to pass pipes through hole into fender space. Do not remove bumper as recommended by Injen, instead, remove wheel and drop splash-gard from the front only during both removal of stock and installation.
No short Ram available for this car though.

I asked this before too, on another forum I think.

I was told that AEM intakes for the Tiburon are flawed. During quick take-off's, the engine rocks back and pinches the rubber boot near where the intake attaches to the engine. All you would need are stiffer engine mounts, but that seems like a pain in the ass unless you planned on it already. I ordered an Injen (model# RD-1375P) the next day, should be here this week.

I saw the 15.6 as 16.7HP on some site. That seems almost impossible but, I'll find out when I get this piece in.
