How much do the dealers jack up the prices on the s2000GOD 03-22-2001, 11:35 PM I'm wondering ...b/c i thought they jacked them up 5 grand and thats alot . justin@af 03-23-2001, 12:47 AM they do that alot...i've seen one dealer jack it up 8g JD@af 03-24-2001, 01:08 PM Yeah unfortunately $8,000 is more accurate in terms of the going rate of dealer mark-up. The retail for the S2000 is $32,000 and change. Because the S2000 is so limited edition, they know they'll have no trouble selling them at $40,000, considering that it still undercuts comparable Z3's and Boxsters by varying amounts. You know this is a popular car when even Consumer Reports, who almost never has anything nice to say about sports cars, raves about it. MrCorvetteZ06 04-23-2001, 10:14 PM I was in New Orleans on business a few weeks ago, and at one of the dealerships they had three S2K's that they couldn't sell. They were all listed @ MSRP. I guess there just isn't much demand for sports cars around there. JD@af 04-26-2001, 03:41 AM That's crazy!! Three at MSRP that they cannot sell?!?! Too much. Were my situation different, I'd be on my way to New Orleans right now :D As is, I'm pretty happy with my Integra.. and I sure as hell can't afford that $32,000. johnny 05-01-2001, 06:16 AM It all depends on where you live. Around here, I've heard people get charged $11,000 over sticker. Crazy, huh? qab5b 06-01-2001, 02:05 AM It also depends on dealer ethics: The honda dealer in Lexington KY, sells s2000s at msrp to anyone. They even sell it at msrp if they think you can pay more. johnny 06-06-2001, 03:07 AM Damn car dealers. Some of them are so damn shady! Z06Lover 08-31-2001, 04:06 PM they can try, but you can get an S2000 for MSRP. I got mine for MSRP almost 4 months ago now. you just gotta be willing to tell em how it is and not listen to there BS! :) The internet has helped a lot. A lot of dealers have internet departments that will give you better then normal deals. That is how I got mine. F20C 09-01-2001, 03:30 AM I got my at MSRP along with a rear spoiler. yellows2000 11-13-2001, 06:12 PM highest I have seen is $8000. I got my for msrp. 1989 DX R 12-09-2001, 08:14 PM hey yellow, where in houston do you live? yellows2000 12-09-2001, 08:25 PM Originally posted by 1989 DX R hey yellow, where in houston do you live? westimer/hwy 6 area F20C 12-09-2001, 11:07 PM http://www.s2ki.com/library/dealers/index.php?s=$session[sessionhash] Z06Lover 12-10-2001, 02:36 AM that is what they are charging at a local dealer in oregon here for 2002. I went and looked at the new blue S2000...and they want 42.8k for it...what a joke. I got mine for MSRP...I would never pay more. Taint 02-17-2002, 10:58 AM What did you think of the Blue ?? Z06Lover 02-17-2002, 02:40 PM the new blue color for 2002 looks great. I got to take a close look at it and sit in it...great color. I wasn't a huge fan of it from pictures. But, it does look great in person. the blue interior it comes with looks good also. AVXs2000 03-27-2002, 08:33 PM the higest mark up I ever seen is $12000 over MSRP in SoCal. that was back in 99 when S2000 started to sell in US. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
