Wrecked CarsHitByABus 06-22-2003, 10:06 PM Well im new obviously, and I didn't know where to put this. But lets talk about the great vehicles we've lost. My first car I ever owned. A 1989 Honda Accord LX-i. Just got hit by a bus Wednesday :frown: I had the basic little stuff done, Weapon-R CAI, Pacesetter Cat Back, Pacesetter Header and I had gotten the lame little A20A3 engine bored 40 over when I had to get a new one after the first one blew. But enough of my sob story, lets hear some more. 2strokebloke 06-22-2003, 10:46 PM Well, my brother's beloved Corolla got totalled when some idiot lady in a Ford Excursion T-boned him (she thought that she had the right of way - women drivers:rolleyes: ) I myself though have never lost a car to an accident - though rear ending the van with my Toyota was a close call. Jimster 06-23-2003, 02:46 AM Ford XR8- rear ended by a CRX that lost control Mazda 323- Crashed it into a tree SilverFeniks 07-03-2003, 09:51 PM Here is my friend's 98 Jetta VR6, wrecked a couple weeks ago :crying: http://www.bluelight.nu/gallery/data/3015/34400robjettawreck-med.jpg?1977 -troike edit: new host Ssom 08-10-2003, 03:15 AM vW Jetta- hit the back of a Lorry- not too badly bent out of shape- but parts were too expensive GTPgirl 08-10-2003, 03:47 AM My dark metallic green '94 Grand Prix SE coupe. I got rear ended by a chick in a Honda Accord. I was sitting almost at a stop, turning off of a main road, and she was running 70mph and ran right up my tailpipes. If the cop hadn't got there when he did, she wouldn't have been anything but a greasy spot on the pavement. I -LOVED- that car. It was my first, I got it a month and a half before I turned 17. I will never ever love another car like I did that one. A not-so-great (in my opinion) car that I lost was a bright white '97 Bonneville SSE. I didn't like it cause it was too big. It drove good and handled well, but it just didn't zip like my Grand Prix's. I drove it into an oak tree to avoid rear ending some idiot who had stopped in the middle of the road for no reason. The Burning Rom 09-30-2003, 11:35 AM Rolled my first car...1990 Grand Prix LE....three days before high school graduation. 3 years later the insurance is still high :uhoh: http://rides.at.neonix.org/smashedprix/smashedprixpics.html kfoote 09-30-2003, 12:59 PM 1991 Ford Probe GT, had just put a custom Willwood 4-piston caliper setup on the front. The car finally had good brakes. I got run into a month later after (silly me) I turned in front of someone (I had the right of way) who was stopped at a stop sign. I got 1/2 way through the corner and she wasn't stopped anymore. She hit just behind the driver's door, and it bent the frame, the left rear suspension, and all the left side bodywork from the door back. katrina84 01-25-2004, 06:18 AM My first car, a Ford Festiva ('Frisky'), was wrecked when some idiot drove up the back of it when I stopped at traffic lights. He was driving so fast that I got pushed into the car in front of me, then the car in front of me got pushed into the car in front of it! It was an awesome car. I'd had it for 3 years since I turned 17 and it was the brightest red you've even seen, with very dark tinted windows and some very expensive mag wheels (one of which was screwed in the accident). I really wish it had airbags though, they would have been very useful :sly: This is a pic of her after the smash (no mags on it in this pic...we took them off) http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/140282festivacrash4-med.jpg And of interest, here is a pic of my Dad's S40 Volvo. Nice car isn't it? http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/140282volvobefore_001-med.jpg Well it WAS nice, three weeks after my Festiva was totalled, my Dad was driving the volvo and I was the passenger and we had a crash! So of course I am now a nervous wreck whenever I'm in a car. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
