meguiar's carnuba or cleaner wax?almagg 06-20-2003, 12:52 AM my apologies for part of this being posted under 'a little off topic but...' but in case no one is following that thread. what's the difference between the two? after washing the car why would i use one or the other? i saw at their website that the cleaner contains silicotes - not good? Carnuba is just wax & should be used with a 2 or 3 step process for best results. Wash 1. Clay bar 2. Glaze or polish 3. Wax More steps may be needed for ultimate results. almagg 06-20-2003, 01:17 PM when i bought the car almost two years ago it had obviously been detailed - i could tell by the how smoooth it felt. well maybe it is time to do a three-step process since i haven't done any waxing since then. but the paint still looks good. what about one-step waxes that don't contain silicates(and polymers?)? i've read the former embeds in the paint. leaves residue... thanks BullShifter 06-20-2003, 11:51 PM My personal choice for a 1-step product is Paint Perfection Glaze (http://www.topoftheline.com/hitoncleanse.html) J_Swigz 06-21-2003, 12:18 AM Originally posted by jackasssi My personal choice for a 1-step product is Paint Perfection Glaze (http://www.topoftheline.com/hitoncleanse.html) :werd: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
