I need to remove the rear seat of my 1989 Thunderbird. Does any one know the easiest way to do this. I am trying to route some cables, to the trunk, for my car stereo. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Push in towards the back of the car and lift up.
Then I think there's some bolts you should be able to see to remove the backrest. I just pulled back as far as i could on the backrest part and shoveed it through when i was installing wiring.

Once you have the seat removed, you can run the wiring up into the trunk about 1/4 of the way from the side of the car. There should be an indention, not sure for what, but you can string it straight up through that. Once you find the open path, running the wires is easy.

Well it's an old post, and I'm sure he's all ready done his stereo, but you can just reach your hand into one of the lower corners and shove wire into there. I was able to route my wires through it without removing the seat at all.
