When parked on a slight hill today, I started the engine and the D-4 light on my auto trans. car started flashing. It remained flashing in reverse, then went out when in D-4. It has been shifting and driving fine. Please advice.

There is a sensor plug under the hood behind the drivers side headlight. It a a small creame colored box that is screwed to the fender well almost at the botton of the car. Check to see if it is plugged in good. I had the same problem after my 92 was hit in the front . My mech. new what it was. Mine also affected the windsheild wipers. You may have to remove the windshiel washer filler tube to see it.
