I Want En EVO!RyosukeTakahashi 06-12-2003, 12:02 AM OK, I live in Miami, Florida, but I have fallen in love overseas. No, its not some mail order bride, Im in love with the Evo. I was wondering about how much it would cost to import one of the old evo's, the cheap ones, and which one is actually worth it. Tso 06-12-2003, 08:11 AM all of them are worth it.. i would recommend the VII or VIII. they are the most current, and the fastest. as well as the most torque of course... VII and VIII are the SAME bloody cars. just depends on the style you like best. you can have a used one for a price of 15-20k pounds. if you would really like a Euro or JP car, i know people who can get you one into florida USA (where you are). i can tell you now, it will cost you 2k (USD) for shipping (completely insured of course) and take 3-6 weeks for delivery. that all depends if you catch the boat at the right time. they leave every 3 weeks. all cash as well. financing is not the way to do things. if you are serious ($$$) let me know. i can make it happen for you. Good luck trying to get a 1-7 in the states. Even Evolution Imports (http://www.evolutionimports.net) still hasn't gotten the NHTSA to approve the Evolution VII's they've sold for street use. It'll either take fraud or a Mirage conversion to get any other Evolution on the road in Miami. RyosukeTakahashi 06-13-2003, 03:33 AM wel......what kind of fraud are we talking abut here? and about how much would it take, in USD, to get an EVO IV or V here to miami. I would prefer right hand drive ((Used to have a jspec rx7 fc, loved it!)) but left hand drive is ok, let me know, thanks. Tso 06-13-2003, 06:26 AM hey guys... i can get them, and i can get them into the US for you. let me know :icesangel cheers Tso HobieKopek 06-16-2003, 03:20 PM Your registration and insurance would both have to be fraudulent. More importantly, if your car is ever found out it will be destroyed without hesitation. In other words, when you roll the dice, your transportation and thousands of dollars are on the line. Tso 06-16-2003, 03:28 PM yes, you are more or less correct. however, it is fairly easy to do. Tso HobieKopek 06-16-2003, 03:31 PM Yeah, I'm definitely not saying it can't be done. I know of an Evo V in NY, at least one Evo VII in Miami, an Evo IV in NJ, another Evo V in VA and an Evo VI in Seattle offhand. I'm sure there are more, but those are the true Evolutions I can think of off hand. Hell, if I had the money I'd be tempted...but I dunno if I'd go through with it. Tso 06-16-2003, 03:42 PM i believe there are three true Evo VI's in the seattle area. as well as a 6.5 TME. i do believe they all work for Microsoft as well. surprise surprise. Tso HobieKopek 06-16-2003, 03:49 PM If you're talking about the Pink TME then I think we're talking about the same person's car. Tso 06-17-2003, 02:07 AM pink... can't say that i've seen that one, and if i did. i would laugh, then cry from the pain of seeing such a beutiful car so properly destroyed. i do however, know of a bloke that is in the seattle area who CLAIMS he's got a real Evo V. lol it's nothing more than a mirage, with one of those bloody V kits. he's got all the stickers, and gauges galour. it's just a stock mirage. he's told so many people it's the real thing, that he himself is starting to believe that. lol i saw him one time on a visit to the area, and i offered to recce him with my -real- VIII (from UK) and he wouldn't do it. he swore that his fucking mirage was too fast for me. no bother, wasn't worth the petrol anyways.
