Jaguar Supercar/Ferrari competitor?kapplera 11-10-2001, 06:56 PM I was curious if anyone else would be interested in a new Jaguar supercar. To the likes of the famed XJ220? I believe Jaguar is one of the only true companies that can rival Ferrari in racing heritage and would love to see some higher end Jaguars created to battle Ferrari.. Possibly similar to the Aston Martin Vanquish? A super sports car to rival the prior F50/concept F60 or a grand grand tourer to battle the Ferrari 550. Just my two cents, I'm bored and thinking about my Jag and wishes about new Jags. ;) Jay! 11-25-2001, 11:01 PM I'm all for new supercars, no matter who wants to make them. It may be a while before Jaguar tries, though. The XJ220 didn't work out quite as well as they hoped... :( And Welcome to AF!!! :D :D :D Steel 12-18-2001, 02:48 PM well, their next supercar has to have at LEAST a V8. that v6' strong, but still pitiful compared to the ferrari and lambo engines. Personally, i think they can shove a V12 into the next jag supercar, and if they make it as stylin' as the the 220, and not as heinously expensive, then jag would get a lot of money. jsb88 10-10-2002, 03:58 PM I dont think that will happen. I thinkt that the supercar thing is out the window for Jaguar. Maybe joint ventures, but nothing more. They will probably realease cars liek the XK8, and saloons, as they do well with these.:) Swoxy 01-05-2003, 02:19 PM This is a Photoshop image of what a new XJ220 could look like. Ran 01-05-2003, 02:25 PM wow thats nice.:) jsb88 01-06-2003, 10:44 AM Maybe if the rear bumper was brought forward a bit... I could see someone whacking that lovely car you have there. Swoxy 01-06-2003, 12:27 PM Remember what you said about the XK180? jsb88 01-07-2003, 03:05 AM mmm. That I mean is the postion of the lights should be bought forwards a bit. Swoxy 01-07-2003, 12:05 PM Yeah I suppose so. But it looks good. jsb88 01-10-2003, 12:17 PM It look like a great car. Jaguar uses simple body designs. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
