i took out the honey cone filter in the mass air flow sensor, flow master dual exhaust, and a compucar NOS kit, and at the track i run with no airfilterand remove my head light where the air intake is located.
dyno tested at 345hp 362tq, and still making mods

Hey, what is up with the honeycomb filter in the MAF? Is is actually essential, or just a GM thing b/c I believe that the 3.1's have it also. Can it be removed without sending off a computer code?

Some people claim that it is a flow restriction and costs you horsepower and others claim that it smooths the airflow over the wire sensor in the MAF and it is required for proper operation.

the honey comb does smooth airflow, not req'd but helps. amen to the caddymac, but isn't it a 60? no air filter? yeah thats REAL good for it. i think no scoured cylinder walls is worth the 2-3 hp.

60 or 65, depending on model year. 65 was an update to the 60 in 99 or 00.

No reason that he couldn't get an RPM window switch and just cut off the juice a hundred or two hundred RPMs before the thing shifts. It would likely cost a few tenths of a second but it would definitely take some shock off the trans while trying to shift.

your running juice and only hitting 13's, what are you a little girl ? throw a 150 shot on it and get in the 11's.................ooops the gear ratio is wrong you will never hit 11's with that ratio. sorry waste of time put it back together before you hurt the tranny.

Do you have a 3.8 or 3.5 - are there any dual exhausts specifically for the 3.5?
