recliner handles broken on driver/passenger seats 99 blazer

When I bought my blazer the passenger seat recliner handle was broken off. Now the driver's seat handle doesn't work. You can pull on it but the seat does nothing. I hear this is a problem with the blazers and they break really easy. Does anyone know if they are hard to replace? I went to my dealer and they say it's the metal piece inside the seat not the plastic handle. Anyone know of any discount stores online to buy the parts I need? And what causes them to break?

Poor design causes them to break. Working in GM parts I have sold hundreds of them, there is no aftermarket equivalent you will have to buy the parts from GMSPO.

As far as discount places to buy them from, there are several dealers online that wholesale to the public.

Just do a google search for gm parts, many of them have online catlalogs you can browse through.

Just look for seat recliners, you will also need to specify whether your handle is held on by a screw or clip.

"I have sold hundreds of them"

You probably sold half of them to me. Damn things broke in my 94 S10 SS and 98 Blazer.

If the recliner handle keeps braking, is it possable to install a salvaged seat with electric recline?
