Alright,

Im tired of the way the forums are being run. Its lawless here. I Appreicate the other mods help, but we need something more.

We need a mod who regularly contributes, REALY knowledge, who knows something about 240s.

Theres several people here who are up to the job. Im not trying to nominate myself. For startes, see who posts here, who contributes to the FAQ, who helps out. Then you have an idea

If your with me, then reply and state your ideas.

Go ahead and close this thread, if you like, your just stifiling opinion thouigh.

while i do appreciate the other mods taking time out of their busy schedules to help us out(Razor, Jay, John have all been a big help to our forum in the past), i agree that it makes more sense to have someone full-time so you guys don't have to worry about our forum on top of your other duties. but i know that choosing mods is Igor's job and Igor's job alone, so i'm not blaming you guys at all. maybe someone could call this to Igor's attention so that something can be done about it? like i said, in the recent past, i've had chats with a couple of other mods that said that they spoke to Igor about it, but nothing seems to have happened. he also seems to have been more active lately, what with his "smilies" thread in OT, and the new water-mark in the post box. so he's online. i do, however, understand that he is a busy man, and if this is at the bottom of his list, then that's fine with me, as long as it's ON the list.

once more, a big thanks to all the mods who've helped out with this forum, and let's hope something can be done about this that makes everyone happy. :)

I think if J Spec Sileighty was still here he would be a great moderator! But to bad he isn't so hmmm Dorikin seems like he'd be a good moderator.

let's not nominate people, now. it's who the mods and Igor think would be best suited to the post, and also someone who has the time and drive to put the right amount of effort into the job. i'm not saying Dorikin doesn't possess all of these qualities...but if everyone could pick someone to be a mod, i doubt we'd have a majority...everyone would pick someone different.

I will say it is being discussed and hopefull enough good names put fourth so 1 maybe 2 can be nominated.

You can pm myself or Jay if your interested.

I will also pin this temp until something is sorted.

If you guys allow, could we have a poll on who could be nominated for moderator.

I mean, have the posters pick one or two(or 3 even) people whos names should be put forward and then the higher authoritys can choose.

Not trying to nominate myself, but I feel if we have a mod, we should have somewhat of a say in it.

I should be the new moderator... What with my constant yearn for more power and what not. If I were moderator all would bow to me and anyone that disagreed with me would DIE. Anyone that agreed with me would prolong their life until they disagreed with me, and don't worry I'd find something for them to disagree with.

they should look our posts and info to determine who would be a good moderator.

Mike told me he is done with the this forum. Jay pissed him off or something because he banned zeldakid. And Mike and Zeldakid are two different people, Mike proved it to me. They are friends and were just trying to screw with people.

Zeldakid is using a differnt name on here now.

Yeah he has AIM, but hes on private mode and only lets a select few talk to him... so you will have to email him if you want to talk to him on AIM.

For those of you wondering why I left, I am here to tell you.. just to clear up some confusion...

This site has never really DONE it for me. If any site had some decent 240SX members, it was FreshAlloy -- besides the fact that that place is run by nazi-elitists, it still had a lot of good valuable NISSAN information which any enthusiast should appreciate. I dont like forums, they are trendy and there is always someone showing off their new mods or talking about some aimless bullshit that I dont care to listen to. Too much debating and opinions.

Its simple, you make friends with select few in the 240SX community and call it a day. Why anyone would continue to participate on a forum, especially one full of newbies and trendy fuck faces.. is beyond me. There are some cool folk on here, but there are so many swingers who slide from forum to forum on here.. its annoying.

I left FreshAlloy because it's too hardcore. The people on there obviously have nothing better to do than sit there and moderate people by their scrott all day. This forum was good for a few weeks. I enjoyed the lack of moderation, until that kicked in. Besides the moderating, I got pissed off by constantly hearing stupid questions and posts. I dont like the trendy bandwagon bastards who jump on here and talk about drifting -- someone please put tape over these peoples' mouths.

KidZelda is a friend, he's been a part of the 240SX community for a few years now.. he's a good guy. You guys dont know him, you all had a hard time picking up on the joke -- its all good, I didnt expect everyone to catch our comedy. BUT, Jay.. you went too far. This moderation shit is boring, its lame.. and I dont like it. Thats my personal choice. So, I am not gonna catch feelings.. I dont expect this place to change, its not my forum. I dont care to moderate or BE moderated, so I am done. You guys should have fun, you have a lot to learn.. hopefully someone will pickup my negative energy and continue schooling newbies.

well, it is sad to see you go Mike. you did have a wealth of info to share with the community, and i'm sorry to feel the way you do about the forums. but the truth is, pretty much every forum on the internet is like that. FreshAlloy is 20 times more hard-assed then we are, Zilvia is the same...etc. i'm going to try my best not to be a hard-ass mod and do what's best for the forum, not for me. Omar was banned because he directly insulted a moderator. that's written right there in the AF User Guidelines, and as mods, we are directed to instantly ban anyone who chooses to break that rule. i wasn't the one who originally banned him, but he keeps trying to come back under other user names, and if i'm going to have to keep banning him, then i will.

long story short: sad to see you go. sad to hear you feel the way you do. good luck on whatever endeavours you may encounter in the future.

btw, i feel the same way as you about the trendy bandwagon jumper newbies....;)
