how many are they bringing to the US. i heard that 3800 Sti's are coming to the US and 200 to Canada. I also heard that mitsu has no target for north america and will sell as many as it can make.

I'm fairly certain that only the initial production run was limited. They will build them according to demand I believe.

Iv seen a number of 15,000 in total, of which a full 5,000 were for the US.
The same article mentioned that the US EVO VIII is not really a full EVO VIII, but EVO VI running gear in a US Lancer body.
So Im sure some people will debate as to whether or not you can call it a True EVO VIII and count it in the same production numbers as the real EVO VIII solds to the rest of the world.


With regards to totaly production however I feel that Mitsi will simply produce as many as they can sell. Mass production was part of the design brief for the EVO VII, to be realised with the EVO VIII.

over time, Mitsubishi will produce 6500 Evo VIII's for america.
